Overview and objectives

IT Career FastTrack with CompTIA A+ Certification is a unique self paced approach to the A+ Certification, focusing both on passing the exams and developing your career. The course is fully approved as CompTIA Official learning materials through their CompTIA Authorised Quality Curriculum (CAQC) program.

CompTIA A+ Certification is the essential qualification for starting out in IT Support. Follow the study path in this course and you will learn all you need to know about supporting PCs and be ready to take two CompTIA A+ exams (220-701 and 220-702).

On course completion, you will be able to:

  • Install and configure PC hardware, including processors, memory, hard disks and graphics cards
  • Install, configure, and optimise Windows (including Windows 7)
  • Configure printers and networks (including wireless)
  • Troubleshoot PC, printer, and networking problems.
  • Understand vital PC and internet security concepts.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with customers.

Your career in IT might begin with CompTIA A+, but this course doesn’t end there. We’ve included a special section dedicated to helping you find a job in PC support. There’s an overview of the industry, advice on where to look for jobs, plus practical help for writing your CV or job application and attending an interview.
